The Benefits And Negatives Of Drinking Coffee

As you relax over a cup of coffee after lunch, you might sometimes ask yourself if it's doing you harm. If you're the worrying type, you might ask yourself that same question every day.

Caffeine can boost our energy levels like nothing else when we're feeling weary, and its taste really grows on you. That would explain why there are hundreds of millions of coffee drinkers in the world.

Numerous studies have shown the positive effects coffee can have on our mental agility, focus and productivity. If you would like to improve your performance at work, then get your hands on a cup of coffee!

It's clear, then, that coffee has a positive effect on the way the brain functions. However, there are differing opinions as to whether coffee is good for the body as a whole. Some say it's harmless, whereas others are convinced it can't be beneficial.

Some studies will show that coffee may in fact raise blood pressure levels over time. This, coupled with the fact that heart rates increase with caffeine consumption, worries many people.

Conversely, other research programs have indicated that only drinking large quantities of coffee very frequently would produce these effects. If you're consuming an average of about one cup of coffee a day, then you have nothing to worry about.

It has been proved that coffee beans contain antioxidants that help us ward off illness. They even lower our risk of contracting cancer. Coffee, like red wine, is a natural product, after all, so it comes as no surprise to discover they both have these properties.

When all is said and done, coffee should be consumed in moderation. Too much of anything is never a good thing, and you should treat any powerful stimulant with care, especially as you age.

A Review On A High Quality Coffee Company

I recently came back into contact with a friend of mine who I hadn't seen in years. He was now living two thousand miles away in California. As we caught up, we began to talk about coffee and our favorite brews.

One of the places I chose to mention was a new establishment near my apartment that genuinely served up the best cup of coffee I've ever tasted. He had never tried this place, but insisted that the best cup of coffee I'll ever have was at a place near his house in California. He even promised to mail me some beans.

These were so good in fact that he would have them delivered to his home. He couldn't imagine drinking anything else at this point and he even craved it while he was away.

As a big fan of the drink myself, I decided that I was going that to try this coffee if there was any way that I could. This wouldn't be too difficult, as he quickly offered to mail me some once he got home.

Just a week later, I was lucky enough to receive this package. I excitedly opened it up to see a bag off coffee beans from Blue Bottle coffee, and they smelled absolutely great.

The bag of beans even came with instructions about how to filter drip the best possible tasting cup. I followed their directions word for word and ended up with my first cup just a few minutes later.

You're probably wondering about the verdict. Is San Francisco's Blue Bottle coffee as good as the hype it gets? Well, if you run an online search, you'll see scores of people swearing up and down by this coffee.

While I'm not sure that it's the best I've ever had, I'd place it in my top three. My number one is still the local establishment near my apartment, but anyone with a lack of good coffee around should definitely look into some Blue Bottle coffee.
